Psalm 31: 15
My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me.
Life is a lot different this morning as I write this devotion than it was last week at this time. And do I need to say the why? Caronavirus or maybe you’re calling it COVID 19. I’m not here to debate whether I think the government’s handling the situation correctly or not.
I’m here to tell you that God is in control.
God was in control last week and he’s still in control.
We have a wonderful opportunity to show the world that being a Christian makes a difference during these difficult circumstances.
While the world is panicking about toilet paper, we can demonstrate the peace Jesus left us.
While the world is afraid of coming in contact with everyone, we can demonstrate the love of God.
While the world is worried about what’s going to happen next, we can demonstrate that with God, all things are possible–even peace and joy during this difficult time.
I’m not downplaying the seriousness of the situation. I know it could get much worse, but I know that God is in control. He will deliver me from my enemies.
The enemy of fear.
The enemy of anxiety.
The enemy of depression.
Memorize this verse or write it down if you need to and keep reading it whenever you’re feeling that your pursuing enemies are getting too close.
Remember, God is in control.
God bless and keep praying!
