Bible Power Tip #20–What’s the Point?

1 Timothy 4: 8

…but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

What’s the point?

Living a godly life can be hard at times.

And then you look around and see people who don’t even try to live a godly life being successful, having fun, and getting all the rewards you think you deserve.

What’s the point?

This verse assures us that making godly choices is valuable for this live as well as the next life. I’m 65 now and to be honest I didn’t always make the godly choices.  But in that same spirit of honesty, I can tell you that I regret many of those choices.  I missed out on so many of God’s blessings because of my own actions. God still loves us when we don’t make good choices, but there are always consequences to our actions.

What’s the point?

The point is to honor God with our actions, but it’s good to know that godly choices brings reward in the next life and in this life.
