BIBLE POWER TIP #7

USE YOUR WORDS!

USE YOUR WORDS!

As a retired speech-language pathologist, this was often my advice to my students who were frustrated and struggling to communicate their emotions in an appropriate way. But I’m going to amend that advice slightly–USE ENCOURAGING WORDS. We are often unaware of how our words can affect others, but that doesn’t make us any less responsible. Think before you speak. Think how the other person will react or feel when you say those words. Once you speak them, it’s impossible to take them back. Yes, you can apologize but the hurt your words cause will be forever with that person.

Be an encourager not a discourager!
