What’s your word for 2020?
A lot of Christian Writers choose at the beginning of the year and then focus on it throughout the year. Many have been doing it for years, but I only started a few years ago. This is my fourth year. My first year was faith–I think. Then the past two years have been MERCY. Mercy is/was definitely something I need to develop more of. That’s why I needed two years of it. I thought I’d be going for a third year, but as I was watching a sermon on TV this morning, another word jumped out at me.
I still have a few days to decide, but I’m pretty sure that’s going to be my word for this year.
And no, I’m not going to share it quite yet. I’ll wait to share my word on January 1–NEW YEAR’S DAY!
In the meantime, I’d love for you to share your word for this year or last–if that’s something you do as well. Also if you do choose a word for the year, how does it affect your prayer time, your Bible study time, or your life.
GOD BLESS & GOOD READING!
I’m a late-comer to choosing a word too. 4 years also, I think. This year I didn’t really plan to, then suddenly Health popped up. My health has been through a ringer in 2019, and I’m praying for a change in that next year. Also, as we do, with the new year I’m focusing on a deeper look at my spiritual health–where I’m at, how I’m growing, where I’m headed, including in my writing. So my word is Health.

Thanks for sharing, Naomi. I’m sorry to hear about your health. Health is an ongoing concern for me as well so I understand completely how it can turn our lives upside down. Praying for good health for you in the coming year.
