So, I write Bible verses on index cards and then read them over and over. Eventually they go in a pile where they sit as I write different verses down to study. Every now and then I go to the big stack and reread them. As you can imagine, that stack grows bigger and bigger all the time.
I’m so amazed each time I read the “old” verses and how much wisdom can be found in God’s Word. But not just wisdom, there’s peace and joy and power in the words. But they’re only words unless you put the words into action.
Anyway, I thought I’d take a week or so to share some of my favorite verses (and perhaps just a comment or two) with you so without further ado… Today’s Words of Wisdom…
2nd Corinthians 4: 18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen. For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.
I need to be reminded of this all the time. I tend to get bogged down in the here and now. It’s good to remember these are only temporary circumstances. We should be more focused on the eternal. Help me, God, to remember that. Amen.
GOD BLESS & GOOD READING!
