SERMONS IN A SONG!
To celebrate Christmas, my goal for the next week is to feature a Christmas song every day. Today’s sermon in a song is one of my favorites: MARY, DID YOU KNOW? (click on the link to see the video.)
This version highlights the courage of Mary. Think about it–she agreed to have God’s son without benefit of being married. That’s not easy to do, but at that time it was most likely a death sentence. STONING was an acceptable form of punishment for such an act. On top of that, she knew she would devastate her parents and the man she was betrothed to.
WHAT COURAGE! And what faith Mary had in God. She trusted God beyond reason.
How many of us can say the same? Not me–that’s for sure.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
That’s one of my favorites. Simple message that women can understand. Thanks for reminding me of it, Lillian. I haven’t heard it yet this Christmas.
