John 11: 35
Jesus wept.
Jesus wept–this verse was written when Jesus went to Lazarus’s tomb before he raised him from the dead. He wept even knowing he was about to do perform a miracle. He wept so Jesus had emotions just as we do. In light of the tragedy in Connecticut, I know that Jesus is weeping today as our nation weeps as well.
In times like these, we can’t understand what would make a young man do the unthinkable.
In times like these, we ask why, but there are no answers that make sense or that will comfort those who lost a loved one.
In times like these, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith.
In times like these, Jesus weeps.
God bless all those affected by this tragedy.
SHARING TIME: PLEASE ADD YOUR PRAYER OR ANOTHER LINE TO THE POEM, I’VE STARTED. THANKS. PS–IF YOU ADD A LINE, IT BECOMES PART OF THE POEM.
Knowing a single soul could take so many lives, we join and mourn with others for the children who won’t ever see a bright tomorrow. Yet we know they’re in the loving arms of God, in perfect
peace, which help those who believe. Praying for comfort for all the parents and loved ones that are touched by this needless tragedy. That God will bring good out of something so awful, is His way….we have to believe He will make it happen in His good time.
