For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
So you got that bad doctor’s report that you didn’t want. Now you have a choice—give up or have faith in God.
Let’s look at that verse again. I read this verse over and over as I go through my medical journey. If you give up and throw the towel in when you get that bad report then you are not giving God the opportunity for your miracle.
Matthew 13: 15
And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
God may have a miracle waiting for you but your lack of faith may keep you from getting it. We can show our lack of faith in our thoughts, our words, and our actions or we can choose to show our faith in the same way.
That’s not easy to do, you say! Believe me, I know that, but it can be done. I do it every day as I wait for the outcome of my first treatment of my brain tumor—as I wait for all my Bell’s Palsy symptoms to go away.
Use your words, thoughts, and actions to give God the opportunity to show HIS mighty power. Instead of whining about your diagnosis, be factual and then add “But I know God will take care of me.” Because in fact HE will take care of you, HE promises to never leave you.
When I developed Bell’s Palsy one of my neurosurgeons told me it wouldn’t get any better, but I told anybody who would listen that I knew it was going to improve and it has!!
God have given me back about 80% of my muscle function in my face and I believe HE’s not finished yet! I’m believing for 100% recovery.
And as it says in Proverbs 23:7: For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. And in my heart I am healed already! Thank you, God.
