God’s Word is holy.
God’s Word is true.
God’s Word is supernatural.
God’s Word is the key that unlocks God’s Kingdom—in heaven and on earth.
The longer I’m on my spiritual journey, the more I know the truth about the power of God’s Word. Some people may believe the Bible is old-fashioned and/or out-of-date. That it doesn’t have much relevance in today’s modern world.
If you’re one of those people, I pray that you’ll give the Bible a chance to change your life the way it has mine. I could tell you what meditating on God’s Word has done for me, but I’ll let the Bible speak for itself.
The Bible…
Is Truth. (John 8:32)
Is Healing. (Proverbs 4:20-22)
Protects us. (Psalm 18:30)
Brings wisdom, prosperity and success. (Joshua 1:8)
Cleanses and purifies us. (John 15:3)
Strengthens us against temptation. (Psalm 119:11)
Filled with promises to give us mercy and grace. (Psalm 119:58)
Gives us good wisdom and discernment and knowledge.(Psalm 119:66)
Guides our path. (Psalm 119:105)
Gives us hope. (Psalm 119:114)
Melts the hardness in our hearts. (Psalm 147:18)
Transforms us into God’s image. (II Corinthians 3:18)
Is a weapon against the devil. (Ephesians 6:17)
Renews our mind. (Romans 12:2)
Comforts and consoles us. (Psalm 119:50)
Helps us see the error of our ways. (Psalm 119:59)
Gives us great peace. (Psalm 119:165)
Saves us. (John 3: 16)
If God’s Word only did one or two of these things it would be more than worth your effort to spend time studying it. So think of the benefits of all of these and even more! God’s Word truly is amazing!
It’s hard to explain the supernatural power that comes through God’s Word, but Jesus talked about it.
Matthew 7: 24-27
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
Who will you be—the foolish person who built their house on sand or the wise one who built his house on the rock—the Word of God?
