They’re watching…

Philippians 1: 14

And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

Philippians 1: 27

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

They’re watching…or put another way…my actions make a difference!

As I read Philippians 1 a few days ago, these two verses stood out to me. In my journal I wrote, my actions make a difference.

Why is that true? Because they’re watching you. It might be other Christians or your family or your non-Christian friends or….it could be anybody. They’re watching to see if Jesus in your life makes a difference.

I know! That’s a lot of pressure but that doesn’t make it any less true. Whether your circumstances are good, bad, or in between. People are watching…and waiting to see what you’ll do.

In Philippians 1: 14, Paul explained that because he was a prisoner other believers gained more confidence in the Lord. In other words, if Paul could still stand strong while he was in prison, they could do the same in their own lives.

Verse 27 tells us to act in a manner worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

So as we go through difficult times or even wonderful times, people are watching to see how we’re going to react. Are we acting (and believing) in a way that honors God?

Our actions make a difference!

Because…they’re watching!
