Bible Power Tip #21–Be an Encourager!

Ephesians 4: 29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

The NLT version of this verse says, “Don’t use foul or abusive language.”

Wow!

When I go on social media, I see more and more abusive language. We’re so mean to each other. That’s bad enough, but so often it’s Christians using that abusive language in the name of God! Do you really think being mean and abusive is going to draw others to Jesus?

I’ll admit I’ve done it more than once, but most times I hit the delete button instead of the enter button. But not always.

Please, God, help me to use my words to be an encourager!
