In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
You’ve got to admit, that’s pretty powerful. If you can find a better example of God’s power, I’d like to hear about it.
God’s power created the world. God’s power raised the dead. God’s power gives each of us a way to spend eternity with Him. God’s power is able to overcome any and all the problems of this world.
His power is more powerful than any president that has ever lived. His power is more powerful than all the forces of nature combined. There isn’t anything that God can’t do.
With God, all things are possible.
Now here’s the good news: God willingly shares His power with His children. Don’t believe me? The Bible is filled with verse after verse that tells us we have God’s power.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think according to His power that works in us.
“For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate my power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.”
Now don’t get me wrong, God is not a genie in a bottle that will grant our every wish but His power is available to every believer. The Bible has story after story of ordinary or even broken people who did the most amazing things for God. Moses, David, and Noah to name just a few.
They were able to do the miraculous not from their own power but from God’s power. We have that same power available to us.
We can struggle and struggle but without God’s power to back us up, things just won’t work the way they are supposed to. We must let God take over. Put your trust and faith in God. It is in our weakness that His glory shines.
